Animal Behavourial Robot At BT Young Scientist 2009

One of my favourite projects at this year’s BT Young Scientist Exhibition was an animal behavioural robot developed by Aaron Kelly from Ballyclare High in County Antrim. Kelly embodies the natural curiousity that we need to be developing in students as it’s the only way Ireland can become a country of innovators. His project was effectively a result of his tinkering with a RC robot. After purchasing it on eBay, he wasn’t happy with its features and decided to take it apart (as you do 
) and add on sensors. The result is his animal behavioural robot in the video below.
