Winners of SciFest’s Crossword competition announced

The Science Week 2009 Scifest Crossword winners are in! There were nearly 800 entries in total. The lucky winners of an Apple iPod nano (16GB) were Aoife McLoughlin, Ursuline Secondary School, Thurles, Co Tipperary and Nour Sleiman, St Raphaela’s Secondary School, Upper Kilmacud Road, Stillorgan, Co Dublin.
Congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to all who took part in the competition.
SciFest is a local one-day science fair held in third level colleges and open to all second level students. A SciFest fair includes a competition and exhibition of projects, a selection of science talks, science demonstrations in the college laboratories and a prize-giving ceremony. SciFest aims to encourage a love of science through an investigative approach to learning and to provide an opportunity for students to display their scientific discoveries
