Colin Murphy to join the Trinity Long Room Hub as new Rooney Writer Fellow

Playwright, screenwriter and columnist Colin Murphy has been announced as the 2026 Rooney Writer Fellow by Trinity Long Room Hub, Trinity's flagship Arts and Humanities Institute. Best known for his series of plays about Irish political history, Colin will join the Trinity Long Room Hub's distinguished fellowship programme supported by Dr Peter Rooney.

School of Hibernia Goes to Rome

An Irish art project depicting a full-scale re-enactment of Raphael's The School of Athens fresco with an all-women cast has gone on tour to Rome to celebrate St Brigid's Day. Devised by the art collective Na Cailleacha and staged in collaboration with Trinity's History of Art and Architecture Department, the image is entitled The School of Hibernia (after Raphael) and features women from a variety of age profiles and backgrounds.
