Please click on Information for Applicants/Job Description link below for full job Problem Based Learning (PBL) Tutor Panel Applications are invited for the following position: Title of Post: Problem Based Learning (PBL) Tutor Panel JOB SYNOPSIS An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified person to play an important role in the four-year Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) programme offered by the School of Medicine at the University of Limerick (UL) which was established in September 2007. The programme at UL delivers a highly innovative, student-centred and integrated curriculum with a strong emphasis on small-group teaching and on self-directed learning. Problem Based Learning (PBL) is at the heart of the year 1 and 2 curriculum, delivered on site at the UL campus. The University is seeking to appoint a panel from which tutors may be drawn to facilitate PBL sessions in either year 1 and/or year 2 of the programme. The successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of and ability to engage in small group teaching activities in general and PBL in particular. They must have excellent communication and good organisational skills. The successful candidate must have a record of excellent teamwork and collaboration. They must have basic IT skills. Experience in facilitation and/or a qualification in education are desirable.
